Bringing Power Back to the People of Fontana.

Joz Sida has spent her life fighting for justice and opportunity. Now she’s leading a movement to put people first in Fontana.

Meet Joz

The Change
Fontana Needs

Jocelyn “Joz” Sida is a nationally recognized community organizer and proud daughter of immigrants, running to become the next Mayor of Fontana — the city she’s called home since she was 14.

Born in El Monte, California and raised in Fontana, Joz has spent her life fighting for equity, justice, and opportunity — from her hometown to the national stage. Her journey has taken her from organizing in neighborhoods like hers to shaping campaigns and mobilizing voters across the country. But her heart has always remained in Fontana, and she’s running for mayor to bring real, people-centered leadership back to the city.

Our Vision for Fontana

Joz is running for Mayor because she believes Fontana deserves leadership that puts people first — not warehouses, not corporate greed, but the families, workers, and communities that make this city home. The People's platform is rooted in justice, dignity, and opportunity for all.

Clean Air Is a Right, Not a Luxury

Enough is enough. Our children shouldn't need inhalers because City Hall rubber-stamps every warehouse that comes knocking. Joz will halt the warehouse explosion, push back against endless truck traffic, and fight for clean air in every neighborhood.

Affordable Housing Over Developer Handouts

Fontana families can't afford to live here anymore because City Hall keeps choosing developers over people. No more sweetheart deals for outsiders who cash out and leave. Our land belongs to our people.

City Services That Work — Period

Clean parks. Safe streets. Support for seniors. Real opportunities for youth. These aren't luxuries — they're basics. Yet too often we hear excuses, delays, and "that's just how it is." Not anymore.

Immigration and Inland Empire city halls rarely mixed. Then ICE showed up

Protecting her city’s immigrant population is a priority for Fontana mayoral candidate Joz Sida. “If we don’t address the way that we treat people, no matter where they come from.."

Fontana City Council meeting turns heated as residents ask about ICE presence in the city

During a special meeting of the Fontana City Council regarding a single item, residents expressed concerns about public safety, given that ICE has been in the city. Mayor Acquanetta Warren felt the comments did not meet the conditions of the agenda.

Fontana comments shut down in special meeting

The special Fontana City Council meeting on Nov. 12 ended in tension, as residents approached the podium for public comment regarding concerns about the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity, while the topic at hand was the Toys for Tots Classic Car Show.
